DIY Cross Stitch Mural
One our first items on the Bl♥g It list was to put up a pegboard in the spare bedroom (otherwise known as Lindie's messy room). Gary did a great job at putting this up in order to create more storage space for all our crafty goodies.
We found this really cool cross stitch painting mural on Pinterest to give a bit of colour to the pegboard. I promised Gary every other week that I would get this done coming up with lots of excuses. Finally deciding to do a blog about all the things we wanted to do gave me a little push.
This was super easy. First we covered the pegboard with a universal primer, and then we covered it in the same colour as the walls with the left over paint we had. For the cross stitch mural I used acrylic paint that I purchased from the craft shop. The only skill required was counting stitches.
I forgot to take a picture of the finished mural on my camera and only have this poor copy I took from my phone.

I really enjoyed this DIY project. And I plan on painting the pegboard in the kitchen as well :)
